Floating Landscapes

I am currently interested in our relationship with the land and landscape in which we live: with the naming of places, the intimacy demonstrated in those place names. In recent years, our sense and understanding of place has been gravely undermined by the vagaries of modern living. We have lost our hitherto close connection with Dinnseachas, the lore and learning attached to the naming of place and places. These works are part of this series.
